Over the past century our world has moved from much certainty and little change, to one where nothing is certain but change. We’ve moved from an industrial-based economy to a knowledge-based economy that is global, entrepreneurial and innovative. According to futurist Thomas Frey, “about 60 percent of jobs ten years from now haven’t been created yet.” He predicts that by 2030, “the world will have seen over 2 billion jobs disappear, with most coming back in different forms in different industries, with over 50% structured as freelance projects rather than full-time jobs.” Frey states, “Humanity will change more in the next 20 years than in all of human history.”
